I've heard that you can tell a lot about a person by their music collection.
I hope that's not true.
I was going through some old stuff at the house tonight and found my old cassette tape collection. I was 18 when I got my first CD player and stopped buying tapes. So this box included tapes I obtained through my teen years.
So here, for your enjoyment is a list of the what I found in this box...
Bell Biv Devoe / Poison
Warrant / Cherry Pie
Dee-Lite / Groove Is In The Heart
Aerosmith / Pump
Poison / Flesh & Blood
4Him / The Basics Of Life
6 different tapes of acapella Christian music
Good Old Rock & Roll vol 2. (du-wop music)
Major Glenn Miller & The Army-Air Force Band
Janet Jackson / Rhythm Nation
Sonia Dada / You Don't Treat Me No Good
Great Balls Of Fire Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
I'm not sure what this list says about me. But it can't be good.
What "interesting" taste you have.
ReplyDeleteRhythm Nation is still one of my favorite albums ever. I thought my Mom's car was the coolest when she had a tape deck that would let you fast forward directly to the next song. The 6 seconds was worth the wait to hear "Black Cat."
Ah if I could get my Europe "Final Countdown" tape back. That and "Appetite for Destruction". And Huey Lewis and the News "Fore". And sadly, "Like a Virgin".
ReplyDeleteYay for Glenn Miller! :)
ReplyDeleteI 2nd Kristi's comment. Glenn Miller is sweet. Also, check out Benny Goodman...sweet gig.
